Just checking in for another year of inactivity on this blog. Been so busy with so many other things, there's just no juice left to squeeze out onto this site.
OPP (Other People's Programming) continues to suck the big one; when will people learn to check for nulls and cover their branches in tests? When will the object-oriented madness be overcome by the sanity of FP (Functional Programming)? Why do they insist on ferreting state away in objects, that have no business being in there to begin with?
Hint: you can find a place for pretty much everything in the Call Stack! Closures make this easier than ever; just think of them as special-purpose objects that last just long enough to "glue" everything together just-in-time, managed by the compiler and RTL, and not by the lifetime of your domain objects!
Enough blathering for now, that should keep everyone satisfied for another year....
